Weight loss on Xenical

Obesity is a serious health issue plaguing the United States, as of 2014, an estimated 30% of the population were diagnosed as clinically obese. This condition isn’t just an issue that affects the size of our waists; it is a chronic disease as defined by the American Medical Association, and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as well as being considered a national epidemic by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Serious physical, metabolic, and psychological health issues are caused by obesity every day. The problem is so severe that an estimated $210 billion was spent on direct and indirect health care costs as of 2010. Since that time, obesity rates have steadily risen.

With such a focus on health care and prevention, it’s hard to image how obesity has gotten so out of control. Consuming more calories than is burned off by daily activity and exercise causes obesity.

Additional issues that contribute to obesity:

  • Poor diet high in fat and calories
  • Sedentary lifestyle
  • Poor sleep habits which lead to hormonal changes
  • Genetics
  • Aging which leads to less muscle mass and a slower metabolic rate
  • Pregnancy weight that is difficult to lose may eventually lead to obesity

Weight loss medications

Prescription weight loss pills are typically prescribed as an additional tool for weight loss. They are designed to be taken with foods that are low in fat and calories and a regular exercise program.  Most weight loss medications contain a stimulant to suppress the appetite. Because these medications have a higher risk of abuse, they are labeled as a controlled substance by the FDA.

For the most part, diet pills are reserved for severe circumstances when weight loss has not been successful, and the patient has health risks associated with being overweight or obese. However, diet and exercise should always be used in conjunction with prescription weight loss drugs. Typically, these medications are only indicated for obese patients with an initial body mass index (BMI) greater than 30 or 27 in patients that have other risk factors such as high blood pressure or type 2 diabetes.

Orlistat is a prescription drug marketed under the name Xenical that acts as a lipase inhibitor (decreases the gastrointestinal absorption of fat) to reduce caloric intake. Xenical should be used in combination with other treatment methods that include diet, exercise, and weight control. When using this medication, the daily intake of fat, protein, and carbohydrates must be divided evenly between meals and to avoid a diet that is high in fat. Patients on Xenical can have an increased risk of unpleasant gastrointestinal side effects.

Common side effects with Xenical are typically caused by the fat-blocking action and can be a sign that the medication is not working though they may lessen with continued use:

  • Oily or fatty stools
  • Oily spotting in undergarments
  • Orange or brown coloration in stools
  • Gas and oily discharge
  • Loose stools or an urgent need to go to the bathroom, inability to control bowel movements
  • Increased number of bowel movements
  • Stomach pain, nausea, rectal pain

Stop using Xenical and contact your doctor at once if you have any of the following symptoms:

  • Severe stomach pain
  • Severe pain in the lower back
  • Blood in the urine, painful or difficulty urinating
  • Kidney problems; little or no urinating; swelling in the feet or ankles
  • Feeling tired or short of breath
  • Liver problems; nausea, upper stomach pain, itching, tired feeling, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice

How effective is Xenical

According to several studies posted online, Xenical is an effective weight loss medication if used correctly and in conjunction with a diet low in fat along with regular exercise. Although every patient is different, most reports conclude that on average, Xenical patients lose up to 30% more than patients not using any medications at all.

Before you begin this or any weight loss program, consult your physician. While not all overweight patients have other health conditions, those who do should address them as well as their weight.

GOLO Diet Review

The designers of the GOLO Metabolic Plan have developed a rather simple regime of diet, exercise, and supplements that when used correctly will improve weight loss in two very specific ways. First, the plan is designed to maximize weight loss without increasing muscle loss.
Second, by providing informative education and tools to ensure that participants are receiving proper nutrition that promotes better health. The plan is so effective that participants will find that they are actually able to eat more food and still lose weight. Typically, this revelation is
what most skeptics find hard to believe. How is it possible that almost all of the diets on the market require that you limit the number of foods yet on the GOLO plan you typically eat more? The secret to GOLO’s success was the breakthrough discovery of what causes the body to gain weight, insulin.

Why is GOLO Diet Healthy For Weight Loss

GOLO Diet Review

Understanding why our bodies retain fat was critical to unlocking the key to weight loss. After many years of the belief that cutting calories were the only way to trigger the body to burn fat, researchers finally made the connection between insulin levels and obesity. Insulin is a hormone produced by the pancreas that regulates the amount of glucose in the blood. It allows your body to use sugar from carbohydrates in the food that you eat for energy
or to store glucose for future use. If blood sugar levels get too low you can suffer from hypoglycemia, while levels that are too high cause hyperglycemia. It is when the glucose levels are too high that the body retains fat leading to obesity. Once researchers made the connection between glucose levels and obesity it was easy to design a weight loss plan that would work. The GOLO system encourages our bodies to maintain an optimal blood glucose level throughout the day bolstering our metabolic health. Though society has watered-down our understanding of what metabolism is to just the digestion of food, it actually refers to all the biochemical and hormonal reactions that take place in the body. It is these reactions that keep the organs, cells, and tissues in good working order and prevents our bodies from storing excess fat. There are numerous metabolic disorders that are the direct result of the lack of understanding of the relationship between good nutrition and health. Stress, anxiety and the inability to get a good night’s rest are all symptoms of hormone imbalance and are the body’s way of letting us know that we are unwell. Helping the body restore metabolism will correct the imbalance, help you lose the excess pounds and put you on
the road to good health. For almost ten years, GOLO researchers worked to develop a natural dual-approach that is designed to encourage weight loss and make you healthier than any other
product on the market.

What Are The Benefits of Switching To The GOLO Diet?

Benefits of GOLO Diet

Understanding the role glucose plays in obesity is what helped researchers design a system that not only helps patients lose weight but repairs the metabolic disorders associated with obesity. Release, GOLO Diet review all-natural, plant-based supplement, was specially formulated to work in conjunction with the GOLO Metabolic Plan. The patented formulation contains seven natural ingredients and three minerals along with a number of supporting ingredients. Because the body is designed to metabolize plant material easily, your body begins to benefit from their healing properties quickly. Many who have tried the GOLO diet review system have reported fewer cravings and increased energy within a few days of beginning the program. Within the first week, better sleep and more stable blood sugars are noticed as you are well on your way to a healthier you.
Though you may decide to discontinue the use of Release once you’re optimal metabolic performance has been achieved, it is safe for long-term use.
Health Canada, the Canadian equivalent to the FDA, has given Release their approval rating, exemplifying the safety and quality. In addition to Health Canada’s approval, Release is on the GRAS list in the United States. Vitamins and supplements do not require approval by the FDA, instead, all ingredients must be recognized as safe in order to be sold in the United States.

Will Following Another Diet Help Me Lose Weight?

Not all diet plans are created equal. While most will help you lose weight, the vast majority stop working once you have discontinued the prescribed regimen. That’s the difference between other plans and GOLO. With the GOLO review system, education, a key component of changing your metabolic health, along with Release and an appropriate exercise program will produce results that cannot be duplicated by other programs or synthetic substances. The GOLO Metabolic Plan inspires a healthy body by teaching you proper nutrition, promoting weight loss, reducing cravings, and stabilizing insulin levels throughout the day.

Healthy Drink #1: What is Apple Cider Vinegar?

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar (ACV) is typically used in salad dressing, marinades, food preservatives, and chutneys. Made from apples, sugar, and yeast, ACV goes through several fermentation processes before it produces a by-product called “mother of vinegar”, an acetic acid bacteria that forms a membrane-like material. The mother of vinegar contains enzymes and good bacteria that are beneficial for your wellbeing as well as phosphorus, magnesium, potassium and calcium, all elements that we need to maintain normal body functions.

Why is Apple Cider Vinegar Healthy for Weight Loss?

Because ACV is rich in minerals and beneficial enzymes, it has long been believed to have a beneficial impact on the body. Recent studies have shown that one of the largest contributing factors in weight gain is the fluctuating levels of blood glucose. As glucose levels increase and decrease the yo-yo effect causes the body to store fatty deposits for use when the levels are low. ACV has shown great promise in improving insulin sensitivity and lowering blood sugar responses after meals. Once the body is accustomed to steady levels, it no longer sees the need to store fat and instead uses them as fuel aiding in weight loss. Vinegar has also been shown to possess certain physiological effects similar to certain diabetic medications. Because of these facts, vinegar might be useful for those suffering from diabetes, pre-diabetes or for those who wish to lose or maintain a healthy weight. If you are currently on glucose-lowering medications, consult the medical team at EZCare Clinic before beginning or increasing your intake of any type of vinegar.

Healthy Drink #2: Lemon with Water…Delicious!

There are many reasons to enjoy a tall glass of water instead of sugary sodas, coffee, and tea; one of the most obvious things that come to mind is that water is a natural, zero calorie thirst quencher. Unfortunately, there are a number of people who just don’t like the taste of plain water. Thankfully, nature has provided a wonderful additive; lemons.
Water is one of the most abundant elements on Earth and in our bodies. Our bodies use water in all cells, organs, and tissues to help regulate temperature and maintain bodily functions. We lose water through respiration, sweating, and digestion so it’s important to rehydrate by drinking plenty of fluids and eating food that has high water content. With the addition of lemons to our daily water intake, we can benefit from natures best source of hydration.

Why is Lemon Water Important for Weight Loss?

Lemons contain vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant that research shows can play a role in protecting us from cardiovascular disease and certain cancers as well as offering the cosmetic benefit of aiding in the body’s production of collagen and minimizing wrinkles. With its many health benefits, there’s no wonder that Lemon can aid in weight loss.
Researchers have found that adding the juice of one lemon and some zest in with eight to twelve ounces of water has specific weight loss properties. Not only does drinking a glass before meals help to offset the amount of food required to fill you up, but the polyphenols in lemon can also aid in reducing appetite.

Healthy Drink #4: Chia Seeds with Water, Smoothies or even Tea!

Chia seeds

One of the hottest new healthy snacks on the market, today is the Chia seed. Chia is the edible seed of the Salvia hispanica, a flowering plant native to Central America. Once an important staple of the Aztec and Mayan empire, chia has only recently returned to its rightful place as a superfood. Loaded with nutrients that benefit the body and brain, chia seed is considered one of the healthiest foods on the planet. Naturally free of gluten, non-genetically modified (GMO) and typically grown organically plus the fact that they are one of the most nutritious foods on the planet should make chia a staple in the pantry of any health-conscious person.

Why are Chia Seeds Healthy for Weight Loss?

Research has shown that chia seeds have a massive amount of nutrients but with minimal calories. In a one ounce serving, chia seeds offer fiber, protein, omega-3 fat, calcium, manganese, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, vitamin B3, potassium, vitamin B1 and vitamin B2.
Chia has a high soluble fiber content giving it the ability to absorb up to twelve times their weight in water. As it expands in the stomach, it becomes gel-like increasing your sense of fullness, slowing the absorption of food and helps you to eat fewer calories. The seeds are also high in protein which is a weight loss friendly macronutrient that can reduce appetite and
cravings. Whether you are looking to lose a considerable amount of weight or just a few pounds, making healthy choices is an essential part of any diet. A weight loss plan is about more than just single foods, it’s the entire diet that counts. Start with small changes such as adding apple cider vinegar or lemon to your water and chia seeds as a healthy addition to weight friendly meals to jump start any diet regimen. When combined with a healthy lifestyle and exercise, you’ll be amazed at your results. Contact EZCare Clinic today to get you on the road to slimmer, healthier you.
